You can understand Chris Coleman going easy on any criticism of young inexperienced Welsh centre-backs, but perhaps he wasn't thinking too clearly when he said they've come up against a really strong England side.

In truth this was an unfamiliar makeshift England team of inexperienced younger players with few caps between them hoping to make a mark. Some like DCL and Grealish did just that, but it was far from the strong' team the Chris was trying to make out.

It was an international that was virtually worthless and although absences forced their respective manager's hands, both teams were nowhere near full strength so to pretend otherwise was fairly disingenuous

Well done Northern Ireland, every chance at home to Slovakia too. Big achievement if they qualify for their second major finals in relalively recent times, such a small pool to choose from, tiny compared to Scotland who have had a far longer wait.

98 was Scotland's last major, terrible. Can't see them getting past serbia either.

Yes that'll be tough for them imo, Scotland don't normally travel well and you would have to think the Serbs would be just too strong for them, but not a foregone conclusion by any means.

I think Northern Ireland stand a real chance against Slovakia at Windsor Park, the two are fairly evenly matched but playing at home possibly gives Northern Ireland a slight edge, even if no crowds means it's not such a huge advantage as it might have been.

Looking at Slovakia last night, they really didn't show too much at all, both sides looked pretty tame upfront, you could even say they could have gone out as the Republic of Irelsnd came very close.

FiFA Rankings are usually pretty worthless except as a very rough estimation of how strong an opponent is. Even so there are only two places between Slovakia in 36th and Northern Ireland in 38th which possibly indicates how decent a chance this is with home advantage and possibly at least a few hundred fans allowed in.

Serbia are ranked 31 and Scotland, the lowest ranked of all the five British and Irish sides at 49, may also indicate how much tougher it'll be to travel away and win over there.

£15 a game is far too steep. I'd happily buy some sort of gamepass, but that would work out at £570 for a season if you paid 38 games.

They will eventually go too far with the cost of football on TV and that's when the bubble will burst.

I would agree, what will be interesting to see if it changes who & how the select games. Presumably there is will be a much bigger demand for some teams than others for PPV solution

The price and co will just push people who dont have the like's of IPTV to get it even more now - Lucky for the Like's of Everton we will almost certainly be on TV - via sky/BT the whole of the next few months with the Games/Teams we play, but it will be a killer for the like's of Burnley fans who probably wont be on TV much

*After production costs, profits will go to the clubs*
