Barney I agree that after he left us he was poor. However, this season he has done a great job with West Ham while we are 17th

Oh that’s absolutely fine.

But my reasoning here was solely the fact that fans were right to not be satisfied with ours getting the job.

For some, he still let us down with his approaches over the summer he left us.

His record was poor. West Ham fans didn’t want him back, why should we?

Aside from the fact we are shoddily run, I think that’s valid enough for fans to not want him. I just find it amusing when so many are saying “told you so”, when in reality, no one wanted Moyes over Ancelotti.

I’d have had him 100% over Benitez, but just a few with short memories here.

2 million for Dawson. A centre defender journeyman lost in the abyss. Suffered a few relegations.

Moyes. Genius with stuff like that. Dont think hardly had issues at centre back with him and when we did it would be adressed sharpish. Always had two solid lads in there.

Done it so many times over the years.

Bargain basement stuff at its finest.

As posted earlier I was seriously tee'd off with his attitude when the red mancs came calling. However he seems to have matured as a manager and has made something approaching a silk purse from this cows ear of a team.

It would take a miracle worker to do similar with our squad

Here we go.

Rangers against 10-men can’t hold on. This is what Portuguese sides do so well. Sit, be patient, take chances.

Imagine if away goals still existed, they’d all be down now.

Funny that Moyes’s United, Sociedad and Sunderland spells aren’t getting a mention. It’s almost as if the players at a manager’s disposal are important.

Let’s not pretend we’d be anything other than crap if he’d come back.

Made up for him, though. Got West Ham playing really well.
Why are you made up for him? He announced that he was "the Manchester United manager" to the press when still our manager. Can,t stand him myself.

I'd like moyes to win it. But I'd also cry. Moyes goes away. We spend half a billion to hopefully finish 17th and Moyes wins a European Cup. Forever being remembered and immortalised as west ham man. Famous European Cup winning side against the odds.

No doubt he has a side who suits him perfectly.

West Ham are similar to Everton in many ways, and fair play he’s done an excellent job.

On reflection, he’d probably have done something with this squad, I believe he’s have made Michael Keane a player.
I also tongue in cheek said before on this thread that maybe it was us holding him back.

He’s inherited some really important players in Rice, and helped develop Bowen, Fornals and Antonio (even though I still think he’s a mediocre forward) and brought in solid bodies like Dawson, Soucek and Coufal.

I just don’t think many wanted him over Ancelotti. Many, myself included, were blinded by the Glitz and Glamour of a manager of Ancelotti’s ilk.
