Don’t think if you were a West Ham or Rangers fan today, you’d have been expecting to be in a scenario where you’re comfortably winning and facing the “weaker” of the potential opponents in the Semi’s.

To think at the amount of cracks we had at the Europa league and couldn't even reach a quarter final when even Middlesbrough and Fulham got to the final of it in one attempt each.

I think, being completely honest, the fact we were always fighting on more than one front always hindered us.

Fulham and Middlesbrough could almost leave the league and focus on it, we by contrast couldn’t.
I recall getting in Europe regularly and fans having audacity of saying “We don’t want UEFA Cup/Europa, we need to go for CL”.

But evidently, as we’ve seen since Moyes departure, and even during and before, we’ve been stifled by a small club syndrome and feel we have no place competing with some of Europe’s Elite.

The Moyes years were my childhood so i tend to look back with nostalgia , but when you look ay what we actually did..

They're 10th in the French league. It's a very normal result in my eyes for one of the best in England atm.
