Back in the 90s Batistuta was in similar situation with Fiorentina, when Serie A was by far the best league in the world. There was great trio of Batistuta, Rui Costa, Edmundo at Florence, but there was so many strong clubs back then in Italy and Fiorentina failed to seriously challenge for trophies.

Then at his old age he gone to Roma (ironically) and won title there

Thing is though when he retires he will be worshipped by Spurs fans for the rest of his life.
