All in all, a brilliant €10.

Cost me €10 return from Florence where I’m staying, Empoli had a man sent off after 20 mins, the goalkeeper made a great double save, only for the ref to want a retake.

Spezia had a man sent off straight into the second half, whilst winning 2-0, and Empoli scored in 95th minute to equalise.

Honestly, the quality was great.

Friendly City, A lovely city, and a great day of Italian football.

Count the points and who has the most help from VAR for each team come the end of the season and see who gets more calls.

Today was a balancing thing, keep the lesser teams happy with a few dodgy calls, just like the old crock “the mistakes balanced themselves out across all teams every year!” - that was a load of codswallop as well.

Can’t have anything being decided nice and early now can we, what world that do to the poor premier league and skys viewer ratings.

In other news, Mason was the VAR at the Emirates. As he has done many times before, he panicked and missed the offside for the Brentford equaliser.

The VAR system is only making things worse when you have incompetent biffs like Mason doing it. One of the worst refs in the PL ever, if not THE worst.
