Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

I think it was more a case of the situation required a type of player that Garner was over Onana. This is one of those situations where a player is good but not good enough for the situation, he will have a lot more freedom and patience at Villa because of where they were last season and more than likely this season.
Onana was always good enough and played well most of the time in the 6 role, he was clearly under instructions not to take any risks.

Got off on a technicality. Their financial accounting period ended after they had been relegated, so therefore not a member of the Premier League and not under it’s jurisdiction.

Where do they think ordinary fans are going to get the money together for this?

Oridinary people aren't made of money.

Are they going to fly fans in from abroad?

That's not going to work. Simply won't.
More expensive the RS tickets for the Champions League and by a fair bit. Some of the comments make for interesting reading. Looks like this will rumble on yet for a bit.

Declan Rice nominated for Ballon d’Or.

So one of the top 30 professional footballers on the planet last season then. Out of all them.

In 2023 FIFA said there were just under 129,000 professionals at 3,986 clubs in 135 countries. He was better than all bar 30 of them.

Could argue the galacticos of Luton had a more impactful midfielder than him last season.

No one involved in anything to do with football actually watches any football.
