Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

Do one spitty, you've got to bring the rs into it , tosser
He's still got a chip on his shoulder because he never won a title while playing for them.

You can hear it in most of his interviews/pundit discussions etc..

So much so, that everyone else can see it, and they're fed up with it.

Re-post from the other thread:

You can just see that what Keane really wants to say is: Just shut your f'ing gob, FFS

If you are going to spend the entire second half hanging on, defending, and playing with backs to the wall, you sort of have to hold on. Arsenal didn't. So, not only have they failed to get the critical win, they have basically handed the initiative to City by admitting they were inferior, needed to park the bus, and still couldn't see it out.

Errr they had 10 men

City were clueless passing the ball around the box all second half.

They learned nothing from the last time Arsenal parked the bus last season.

They'd have done better just blasting the ball every half yard they created and hoped for a deflection.
One Champions League in, what, eight seasons?

How many have Real Madrid in that time?

THAT's what Guardiola needs to be measured against.

Yes, all part of the game. You won't be doing a whole lot without the full complement against City. But to have only 12% possession in the second-half even with 10 doesn't say too much about the second-best side in the league. 70-30, yes. 88-12? Nah. Too defensive, too inferior.

Which is what happened...in the 98th minute.

It just highlights how Pep-ball can suck the life out of football the same as parking the bus for 90mins.

Unforgivable the lack of urgency by the City players. Just take a player on at the edge of the box or get the shot off. Arsenal were delighted they kept on going from side to side around the 'D'.

That was a dreadful second half from City and why they persevered with the 2 centre backs receiving and recycling the ball on the edge of the box when Foden was sitting on the bench until the 70th minute…ridiculous.

Maybe he does his best work unseen but I dont see how that Kovacic is one of the best midfielders City have. Looks very rudimentary player to my eyes.

That’s the first Premier League game I’ve seen this season (well, I watched the 2nd half). Just so horrible to watch, all the players are unlikable with niggly antics throughout. Abysmal referring as usual, and then the most predictable end when Man City equalised.

Even the adverts at half time were painful. Gambling, WeBuYaNyCaR, Barclays pretending men get excited about women’s football, and a cringey FC24 ad. Football has been circling the drain for a while now, I dread to think what it’ll be like in the next decade.

Shame because the first half was one of the best title deciding games in recent history!

Just need both to pull away from the RS and I'll enjoy it much more.
