As it stands for the League 2 playoffs. If Wycombe can nick a goal at Morecambe, we would go 6th. As it is we're 11th. Amazingly close. The goal difference is crazily tight too.

It's gonna change more often than the bottom half did on the last day of 1993/94

Well, the World's Unluckiest Football Better is having a stellar nervy day.. I did a bet on Brighton, Sheff U and Donny.. stand to win £360. Started to get itchy feet over Doncaster a few weeks back.. (after they lost to Blackpool). Never doubted Brighton (at the time) but - instead of a single on Plymouth at 5/1 and a Double on Plymouth and Newcastle 53/1 (or an If Cash then... ) I just did the Double to cover the minimal return from 2 out of 3.

So, even after Brighton could have covered the hedge with a win at Norwich (ditto Donny last week) we arrive today where it still looked ok on both fronts.. Donny go 1-0 down, no worries Plymouth are 1-0 down, Donny are level - happy days.. and then.. yes, then.. it's the double whammy. Donny (totally in charge) lose again with a 1-3 home defeat and Plymouth now come from behind to beat Crewe.. All of a sudden my hedge bets looking off (if Brighton win tonight) and everything's in the toilet..

But wait - Brighton are losing.. maybe it could be £540 instead.. (if Brighton don't beat Villa and Toon win next out at home to Barnsley.. plus Plymouth hang on to best Donny in Div 2).. Having spent the last 80 or so minutes doing my best Ceefax stare at the Brighton-Bristol City score on Flash Scores... So please.. Brighton and Donny or (better still) Newcastle and Plymouth next week.

Well well well.

Bristol City beat Brighton away. Bonkers league.

They were 3 0 up at HT away at Newcastle as well. Drew 3 3 mind.

Go on Burnley! Moyes should be embarrassed that dyche has kept Burnley up

Nice to see Burnley getting close to survival. If Swansea were to somehow beat Manure tomorrow at Old Trafford then Palace are still in the mixer.

I like Dyche, he looks and sounds like a fella, wearing ankle socks, rattling his neighbours missus in a home porno vid, that's shot in the conservatory of a house overlooking a neatly mown lawn.

However, Burnley fans are disgusting BNP, Stone Island clad scum.

Burnley wouldn't be missed one bit for that reason alone.

Stupid KO times working in my favour this Saturday. Doing a double header;
1. Aldershot v Braintree in the National League. Shots need a point to confirm the last play off spot and Braintree need a result to avoid the drop. KO 12:15pm (Lived near Aldershot as a kid and saw my first ever league game there in 1966).
2. Palace v Burnley. Still not mathematically safe so need a win. KO 5.30pm

As Aldershot play in Red'n'Blue I can make do with the one scarf.
Excellent game and atmosphere at Aldershot who won and now play Wirral Trannies over two legs in the Playoff SF.
Palace were reassuringly incompetent.
We are relying on Ebtun at Swansea next week.

So that's good...
