Ah, but when we went there they were the "best team" our manager had ever came up against
It was 1-1 wish we had played that well how southampton did to take into the next game v Burnley oh we got beat there too by our midfield passing sideways , and a sub in Clevelly coming for our best midfielder on was mind boggling when we were on so much on top??????????????????

Still got the same result like.
Yes but in a productive fashion to take into the next game for themselves -what was the Burnley result again?
Koeman atm is looking like a poor mans Walter Smith laughing when he came on SSN interview after that defeat - gave me serious doubts about him as a man manager!

there was a world of difference in the 1-1 Saints deserevedly got today and the 1-1 draw we obtained courtesy of two penalty misses last week.

If we had played like that last week it would have made a statement to the fans that we feared no one and as you say, would have put the team in a more positive frame of mind going forward.

Really hope so, cracking player who would slot in well next to Gueye.

Imagine if hadn't capitulated the last 5 games, we could be top of the league.

Yip.

This is why I am annoyed with people just shrugging their shoulders and saying "we would have settled for this before the start of the season".

Of course we would....but we shouldn't be "settling" for it after the start we made in the first five games

Especially as outside of City, we dropped eight points in three very "favourable" fixtures.
