I called Tuchel a fraud yesterday and got asked why. I forgot about a very crucial event: he was the manager who needed to not concede 3 in the last half hour at Anfield in the Europa League and threw it away. His collapses are starting to become Martinez like.

I also thought he was tactically inept when Dortmund were blown away by that admittedly excellent Monaco side but given they got bombed and had to play the next day holding that against him seems harsh. Regardless the evidence that he doesn't know what he's doing is mounting.

Just to be clear, these are the current FIFA rules on handball:

Handling the ball

Handling the ball involves a deliberate act of a player making contact with the ball with the hand or arm. The following must be considered:

• the movement of the hand towards the ball (not the ball towards the hand) --> Elbow did not move toward the ball, player & body/elbow turning away from flight of ball
• the distance between the opponent and the ball (unexpected ball)
• the position of the hand does not necessarily mean that there is an offence --> Clearly at issue here

This section is key where VAR comes into play:

The VAR can ‘check’ the footage in normal speed and/or in slow motion but, in general, slow motion replays should only be used for facts, e.g. position of offence/player, point of contact for physical offences and handball, ball out of play (including goal/no goal); normal speed should be used for the ‘intensity’ of an offence or to decide if a handball was ‘deliberate’

So VAR was used, was the decision that it was deliberate formulated from watching it in slow motion? Because in real time it certainly does not look like the player is moving toward the path of the ball or having his elbow/arm extended in a deliberate fashion to make contact

Man Utd are a horrible team - they have just become this horrible corporate enterprise. Would be great if all these oil teams went bankrupt as well.

Imagine us fighting it out with Spurs and Arsenal for the title lol

That's just the nature of modern sport.

Everton under Moores had the financial backing at the time.

Since the global marketing of the game materialised, the local aspect of the fan disappeared. Manchester United just happened to get their house in order at the perfect time as TV rights blossomed and the European ban lifted.

I have no ill felling to either Manchester club. Chelsea annoy me but I wouldn't say I hate them.

Only one club I despise, and thankfully fans of other clubs outside of our city hate them too.

Exactly. The decision was unbelievable! This VAR with the ref running to the touchline is a joke also.
