Was just about to post that, as much as I love Italy as a country it's one seriously backwards place.

All he did was stand in-front of the opposition fans, didn't even give them a 'shhh' or anything, just stood there with a blank expression on his face... apparently that makes you equally to blame for being racially abused. To have your own captain come out and say that is absolutely mental.
