They've won nothing under klopp.

They are in no position to prioritise.

This. They’re not Man City, Chelsea or Man Utd (even in their current state) who have had sustained trophy success. Imagine Spurs winning the FA Cup - it’d be a huge step in their development and elevate them psychologically because they’d know they can win things. The RS are in the same situation.

Them and Spurs have hardly won anything for a decade so I don't think either side can really turn there nose up at winning any trophy

If for example Pochettino won the League cup the trolls would change their jibes from 'not won anything' to 'only won the league cup'.

The FA cup may be slightly better but for clubs battling in the champions league and in Liverpool's case, the title, it is small and won't mean anything like as much as it would mean to us.

They have won an FA cup and League cups this century but they haven't won the league for around 28 years, that is their main priority, the only other they would rate being the Champions league.

It's just a completely different perspective for top clubs chasing top honours, it is different and you do have to prioritise - their squad isn't anything like good enough to attack every trophy. They couldn't cope with fixture congestion, City are far better equipped.

Their arrogance is unbelievable. He threw the game simple as that. Every one knew that line up had no chance away at a decent prem team yet he just wanted to throw the game. The worst thing is he’ll be praised for it by the media who will then ask during the next round why the FA cup isn’t as special anymore.

They’re top by four points in January sonid say it’s far from a formality, they’ve won One league cup in twelve or thirteen years and they’ve just played a load of kids in the fa cup third round . They need to be winning the title to make this a decent decision in my opinion

It'll be a lot worse for Poch and Klopp if they have no silverware to point to at season's end

That's fair enough but they now are likely to stand a better chance of doing so.

Klopp hasn't got hindsight and must make the call now rather than at the end of the season, they possibly have their most realistic chance of the title in living memory, possibly since they last won it so why wouldn't they want as much as possible in their favour?

Every extra commitment would harm their chances imo as they rely so heavily on their first team of around 13 or 14 players, the cover isn't there and extra games will likely bring fatigue, knocks and extra pressure as well as meaning less preparation time.

It is arguable either way but I can perfectly understand Klopp picking a shadow team tonight with only a few really even in the first team picture.

Yes that's possibly the case but the trolls could win either way really, its not a major trophy and 'the only won the (whatever) cup' would still be aimed at them.

The League or Champions League is another level or six up in status.
