So there's 2 top teams in Spain, like there were in Scotland who can realistically win the title?

Thats where the comparison ends because Spain still has decent sides throughout the league but Scotland is full of cloggers who couldn't hack it in League 1.

Most of those leagues have no where near a discrepency between the "haves" and "have nots" as Spain does though

It's built into the game FFS. Look at the TV rights for proof of that

I'm fairly sure Bayern have a sh*t ton more money than Braunschweig.
I'm fairly sure Napoli have more money than Sassuolo.
I'm fairly sure Porto have more money than Pacos Ferraira
And so on.

Again, in the past Scottish football was in no where near as bad a condition as it is now

Years of duopoly and and other more exciting leagues on tv essentially killed the domestic league in that country

It can happen to Spain too

We're well on our way already

Ijjy and Mikey you're both right, not sure why you're disagreeing. Mikey is right in that La Liga is very similar in structure to the SPL, in that there's only really two teams who have a chance of winning it and they're usually much more dominant than in the Prem. Ijjy is right that the general quality of La Liga is MUCH higher than SPL and there are 6 or 7 European quality teams in it.

I'm sure they do.

However, most of the German sides are in vastly a better finnancial state than the "other" sides in Spain

The Portugese league is also not presented as one of Europe's biggest leagues, where as La Liga is

Who asked you?!

Scotland and Spain have always had two big clubs though, the difference is that in Spain the "rest" are big enough to occasionally challenge when a good side and a good manager arrive at the club - like Atleti now, or Valencia / Sevilla / Sociedad / Depor in the relatively recent past.

Barcelona 0 Valladolid 1 btw

Aberdeen and Dundee United were challenging for the title in the 80's though. In fact, they were known for a while as the "New Firm"

Scotland used to be a much more open league than it is now

I wish I could have watched it more back then to be honest

Id agree with this. But sadly, so very sadly, it's not the 1980's anymore.

You're wrong Mikey.

Sorry you are.

Here's a list of boss La Liga teams.

The obvious 2.
My Atletico team. 7 wins from 7 and at home to Celta Vigo tomorrow.
Valencia
Sevilla
Villareal - started there first season back excellently.
Bilbao - a miracle how they do what they do
Espanyol - talent all over the pitch.
Sociadad - struggling a little to reach last seasons heights but talent.
Malaga - nearly screwed themselves over but still got good players.

Even the so called crapper teams have decent players

Comparing the spl to la Liga is bordering in lunacy Mikey.

Can we get Griezmann please?

Even the likes of Vigo mate try and pass the ball around and Betis. I didn't go Everton vs Betis game like but from what I remember, we got battered and they didn't even play their strongest team. People just think Spanish footy is barca and madrid.
