Irrelevant anyway as City should sweep them aside.

Why? We don't want Europa, it'll ruin us as it does every team. It's designed to prevent the "big clubs" in each league being dislodged from their thrones. Champions League or nothing...

there was nothing unlucky about that defeat. if he would have gone out to win it in ET they would have. he played for away goals - man united were playing on the counter attack at home to sunderland.
 

Made up for the sunlan fans. Nice trip to Wembley for a bunch of fans that will fully appreciate the day out as well. As Gary Neville has just said then, this season they haven't kept the pressure on teams in moments of ascendancy. Paraphrased as Moyes being too bloody conservative. He's not Utd.

i might have felt sorry for him if he hadn't lied to evertonians, to us, over his contract.

i might have felt sorry for him if he hadn't offered what he knew was a piss take offer for baines and felli.

i might have felt sorry for him if he hadn't tried playing Charlie big Bollox and said Everton were holding both players back in their careers.


but he ruined it all, for me, when he rolled over in the swamp derby 2seasons ago. That was the night I gave up with him.

Moyes only excels from adversity - small guy vs big guy, siege mentality, us against them. It's pretty hard to instill that into a team of multiple champions.. and let's be honest he had enough practice at it at Everton having lead us into several rabbit warrens with some abysmal starts to seasons - but when push came to shove in must win ties and league games - not to mention nearly every Derby match (home and away) he just didn't cut it. How that escaped the gaze of the United board and Ferguson heaven only knows.
