Todd Boehly. A man...who wants an all-star game.

I think it’s just better to keep Americans away from any strategy or decision making in English football. It’s their commercialisation and bastardisation model that’s helped yank a sordid gap between fans and their clubs. American business people have little appreciation for history and tradition, generally happy to forgo any fan sentiment to just grind out an extra dollar. They merely see fans as customers and expendable.

I can empathise really as they don’t get what European sports are about as they run a franchise model where the club doesn’t belong to the fans and community but instead to the richest person that can afford it.

Boehly should keep his cake hole shut about the English game and just ruin the club he bought out of sheer ego and opportunism.
Exactly this. Rich US owners like no risk sport with no relegation. Just keep the dollars rolling in and relocate to a different place if you get a better offer. Hence the buy in to the ill fated Super League - which will raise its head again.

No mate explain generally what makes football support on your shores so special.

We are the originals, we grow up in families ingrained in football, our culture is 100 years in the making, it has seen and experienced every aspect of the game from the gentlemanly white horse final thru the hooligan years and on to what we see today, the pinnacle of world football. Our fanbases superceed all others, we are the most loved, most envied and most hated in the most popular, most played sport on the planet. Our clubs have more history than most countries. We are the alpha and the omega, omnipotent in footballs international psyche....

Or not!

Not sure I agree. There is huge football history and culture in all countries. Plus our league is seen in many European leagues as an overhyped endurance game that places a higher emphasis on pressing and athleticism than it does to skill and flair.

The revenue of the top 4 American sports league generates far more than the Premier League, even the NHL generates more revenue so no, that logic doesn't work unless the British league are generating more money.
Really? As far as I can find out the Premier League generated circa £5.5 billion (Pound Sterling) over the 2021/22 season through broadcasting, commercial/sponsorship, and match day revenue, as so far as I can gather the NHL over the 2021/22 season generated circa $2.3 billion (US dollars). Where are you getting the figures from which state that the NHL generates more money than the Premier League?

Ok fine, the EPL overtook the NHL in recent years but that doesn't change my initial point at all, does it?

It's "on par or roughly the same" with NBA/MLB? That's hilarious. That's like saying Nunez is on par with Haaland.

Facts are hilarious are they ?

Can you give me evidence to prove me wrong ?

No ?

Let me help you

Now the EPL

So the EPL will overtake the NBA in the next few years, as seen by the links.

Hard evidence

Now over to you show me I’m wrong
