It's big business. I believe Newcastle are in talks with a Saudi production company/TV station to film a similar series as the 'All or Nothing' Amazon production, though they want to follow the club over 5 seasons, I think somewhere in the region of £250 million per season they are looking to pay.

Yep the EPL is growing and ironically the biggest market growth is the US market, considering the EPL is just England it’s punching well above its weight considering the domestic market compared to the USA has.

To really compare the two you would have to compare continental Europe to the USA so a combined revenue from all tge European leagues your looking at £20bn plus so no wonder the Yanks are here and wanting a European super league.

NUFC are just capitalising on that as they should

Facts are hilarious are they ?

Can you give me evidence to prove me wrong ?

No ?

Let me help you

Now the EPL

So the EPL will overtake the NBA in the next few years, as seen by the links.

Hard evidence

Now over to you show me I’m wrong
Bro. A quick Google search tells me that the Premier League generated $6 billion, yet the NBA has topped $10 billion. A pure difference of $4 billion. I don't care about the future or what's going to happen, because it's all speculation and hypothetical. A quick fact search shows the NBA is far ahead of EPL in the current day, which is what I'm interested in.

The NBA has produced billionaires in Michael Jordan and Lebron James. Has the Premier League brand produced any billionaires? (Ronaldo doesn't count). NBA related merchandise is very popular throughout the world, especially the Jordans footwear. NBA player's on social media have a far bigger presence than your average Premier League players. The NBA has been extremely influential in pop culture, has the Premier League ever been influential in pop culture? The NBA Instagram page has more than 10 million more followers than the Premier League page.

It's actually disrespectful that you are comparing the Premier League with the NBA.

Are you actually arguing the NBA is a bigger league worldwide than the Premier League or are you strictly talking about how much wealth it generates ? Hopefully the later because the first one isn't even up for debate.

A regular premier league game between Man United and Liverpool pulled in 7x the worldwide viewing figures of the Super Bowl (which is the most watched American sporting event on the planet).

I’ve given you clear evidence and still…..

You haven’t a clue so I give up cause you will drag me down to your level and beat me with experience

I was arguing about the wealth it generates. But even if you wanna talk about the popularity around the world, the answer is very nuanced and it isn't just a case of "isn't even up for debate". I can debate you on that all day long, if you want.

What is the nuance that negates the huge discrepancy in worldwide viewing figures ?

FInd me one NBA fixture that averages 600-700 million viewers each season...

Where exactly are you finding these figures from ?

The Euro 2020 final drew 328 million viewers worldwide. So the average PL game draws in more than double of what the Euros final had??

Liverpool v United averages 600-700 million worldwide viewing figures, several articles state this, this was the first one that came up

Super Bowl averages 115 million viewers worldwide and the superbowl is by far the most watched American sporting even worldwide...

Obviously the average premier league fixture doesn't get anything like 700 million but that's the same for the NBA and any sports league. Wizards v Cavaliers isn't exactly pulling in hundreds of millions is it :p

The biggest fixture in premier league season seemingly decimates the viewing figures for both the Super Bowl and NBA Finals combined.

Perhaps you don't realise just how big the premier league is in Asia ? To be fair when I say 'premier league' (with regards to its popularity in Asia) I really mean United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal but that's prob the same for NBA where Lakers etc are main pull rather than punters having a love for the league as a whole.

Asian market? You do realize the top athletes with the most followers on the Chinese social media sites such as Weibo are all from the NBA, right? Most followed team on Weibo is also Lakers, not even Real Madrid or Barca.

China makes up less than one third of the Asian population. Anyway you have completely swerved the point that the Premier League decimates the NBA in terms of worldwide viewing figures. Show me your stats that the NBA pulls in more viewers. Where is the nuance you were talking of ? Your entire argument has been 'yer but social media'.

Your figures are not accurate and are quoted from DailyMail, which means it's false.

All it takes is a quick google and you will find countless sources referencing that figure.

Anyway I don't know why Im bothering given I know you are a WUM.

After commenting this you replied to Longers just three times in an hour and 45 minutes and then gave up.

Thanks for confirming that it isn't even up for debate.
