Really liked his ability to pop up and get a goal, and tbf he looked ok the first couple of seasons.....but my oh my was his ability limited before eventually falling off a cliff

That is true about prestige players, but honestly someone who is half-decent / competent improves us.

No point in selling him now, think he needs 6 months / a year to show his level against PL defenders.

At best he really kicks on and we're not even talking about selling, at worst he shows that he's not ready for the prem yet but we know he can cut in the championship so move him on like Simms.
