Villa bid 8m for him in January so on a free we've done well, not sure he's an 8 but he's 6 all day long and has the potential to become a 12+.

Big part of Villa's better form in the last 12 games, hence why the Villa fans are miffed he's left on a free to us.

In fairness he pulled us apart when we played Villa recently. So if he can reach that level of consistency it could prove to be a decent signing. We will just have to wait and see

I was sceptical about Jimmy Mac to begin with. He is a togger god. I hope Cleverly can be as big a surprise.
