Really saddens me how BAWK this thread is.

He's not taking a transfer fee, he wants to come to Everton and he's a lad with talent. Is he going to be the answer to all our problems? Of course not. But everything single signing we make doesn't have to be a superstar one. Look at the where we signed the 84/85 from.

He could turn out not good enough and if he does then we will make some money off him.

But that's miles down the path. A good start to summer's business.

We can't be positive lad because that'd be too much like the Kopites, and we can't have that.

Getting upset by our net spend? I get that.
Getting upset by our lack of signings? I get that also
Getting upset by our seemingly incapability of getting deals done quickly and without too much hassle? I definitely get that.

Getting upset because of us signing a full England international on a Bosman? Well sorry, I'm afraid you lost me there.

I'm a bit drunk, but speaking in all seriousness, McCarthy has obviously been our best signing for quite a while and I'm one of a lot of people who want to see Robles between our sticks more often. Besides, Cleverley hasn't played football for Wigan in 4 years. More than any of that, I believe in giving any player who puts on an Everton shirt an effing chance.
