At least Cleverley has a better injury record. 38 games for Villa last season.

We'll definitely be able to judge him.

What the Villa fans are failing to see is that Cleverley didnt even want to go there on loan last Season anyway.
Villa had an £8m bid accepted last Summer for the lad for him to say no. We then swooped in with a Loan Offer and he was all over that, was on his way down here, United said NO to that as they didnt want to deal with 'rivals' so Villa swooped back in with a loan which the lad was ultimately forced to take as he would have been rotting last season otherwise.

He was never, ever going to stay at Villa if we wanted him, its as simple as that.

Think thats everyones stance mate.
I dont think we can really fume until after our Summer business is concluded. Ive said many a time, if we sign some quality players and bring in Cleverley and others on frees and dirt cheap to bolster the squad ill be very happy. As a main signing? Definitely not.

But, he may yet be a good player for us, i think the fact the lad has wanted to come here for a while now should earn him a little bit of time amongst the fan base.

What was his crime.

This place will go wild in 20 days time if we have not signed another player.

Our summer transfer window addicts will be foaming out the mouth in rage. This place will be like Mad Max 2, a barren waste land of hate and anger.

Even the signing of George Boyd will not be enough to quench the urge of the addicts. They will need an injection of a foreign winger who has good stats on FM 15 and a YouTube montage with Euro trance music playing.

Be warned people, the meltdown is coming.

The more I read about him and watch clips of his playing style, the more he is growing on me.
 
Not sure which site he's got it from but someone has been telling me his stats compare favourably with McCarthy's in terms of distance covered, tackles won, passes made and chances created last season.

Maybe he's similar to McCarthy in terms of his contribution being overlooked?
