I'm quite happy we got him for a full pre season. Won't have to listen to the he needs time to settle in excuses when he's putting in regular mediocre performances by mid September.

If the team plays well he'll probably look okay because he's good at passing the ball in safe situations. The second we're under the cosh or needing to stand up in a game like the Anfield derby then he'll go missing.

This signing won't improve us which is what I want to see happening in the transfer window. It's simply more of what we already have.

Besides, the overwhelming majority are happy to have him here anyway, at least according to the poll.

Hes decent enough, free, and English. No one should be upset by this signing. if he underperforms, theres going to be a lime of 6-7 teams waiting to sign him for 7mil. No brainer, this one. Next signing needs to be an instant impact kind of thing now. Preferably a winger or a real 10.
