people forget what qualities phil neville bought to everton football club. I will never forget the absolute world class slide tackle on ronaldo at goodison neville made.
that tackle that day absolutely lifted goodison park. I was sat in the park end and everyone around me winced. It was brilliant and shut the mancs up!

That, the Pen and celebration Vs Chelsea when we played in the Vanilla shirts is his sum contribution to the Club...and we paid him Howmuch?

Didn't realise he had such an engine on him - he doesn't make cross field sprints and slide tackles like McCarthy but he's always on the move.

His passing has been a bit safe but with that lamppost Kone up front what's he meant to do? He played a couple of great balls to Lukaku against Stoke and hopefully with more confidence he'll start running from deep more often, as he showed against us at Villa Park last season it's tough to defend against.

I think he'll do well for us, just not as a winger.

Play him alongside mccarthy or dont play him, same can be said about 6-7 of the squad, if not played in their proper positions their next to useless, barkley out wide nais same etc, a manager who likes players with versatility to play in 2-3 roles should be able to see those who just cant do it, and target transfers whove got a proven record of moving round, not take a 24-26 yo and suddenly try to teach them it.

People like to rewrite history over him, be the same with Distin too. Served us well just stayed a bit too long but the managers fault not theirs.
Can't see it mate. People will remember Distin for putting a top shift in, irrespective of his last shockingly bad season.
Contrast that with Timmy where people will remember a lengthy chain of utter dross mistakes over a period of years.
