I missed the game today, what position did he play? Was he a #10? Or an inverted winger? Or perhaps a deep lying playmaker spraying through balls all over the place?

While I think it's fair to say he often exhibited skills commonly associated with the deep lying playmaker, there were, and I'm sure you'd agree if you'd been watching too, more than a few flashes to suggest he had been asked to play the Regista role. If required in the future, I am certain he could slip into the Enganche role, with all the creativity but with more discipline than your average Trequartista.

He does. Let's it glance off the outside of his foot to get it over the CB and took the pace off it with some backspin to stop it running through to the keeper.
