Another thing, does Martinez really believe that we had some kind of major impact in a European competition or something? And that it has resulted in the European footballing community from viewing Everton differently?

We were dumped out without even reaching he quarter finals, by an average team that absolutely hammered us. This really isn't something to be excited about, no other big club in England would be celebrating getting knocked out of the Europa League before reaching the quarters.

I'm not big on him to be honest but he's obviously been doing well for Villa lately:

Is it an exciting signing? No, we need to make a few better signings than him, a few players who have proven quality already but as always we're on a limited budget and can't expect to sign 6 or 7 world beaters like some people seem to think we can. He's on a free, it's no-risk so I'm not gonna moan if we sign him. We still need an extra player in that area in my opinion thanks to Barry's decline and Gibson continuing to be a sick note.

Anybody saying they're gonna boo him before he's even kicked a ball for us is an absolute belter.
 

Are people who rubbish cleverly ones that would sign milner?

Becasue they are pretty much the same player. Milner probably is a better version as he is playing at man city, but still they are both utility players who cover different roles and aren't glamorous.

the main difference to a club like us is one of them is probably 75 grand a week cheaper.

Hahaha. Good one mate.
 

Like many players, people will moan and say they're not good enough until they actually see them play for us, then realise they're good. Has happened with a lot lately, even with our injured players people were saying Gibson wasn't good enough, until he came back and people remembered how good he was.
 
Funny, but in that report in the Guardian nowhere does it say Martinez is in for Cleverley


Maybe I missed it.

Well tell me one difference between them?

Both play different positions to cover roles. both of them arent exceptional but are reliable in the right team. Both of them contribute to the team quietly and don't stand out. Only difference is that milner is probably a better version of him
