The problem is that we already have too many average-to-wank central midfielders, and there isn't enough room for them all to play, and he is going to demand a minimum of 50k a week over a minimum three years, which adds up to just under 8 million pound.

We won't get rid of Osman or Gibson until next Summer, so if we sign Cleverley we could quite possibly have circa 150k a week of average to wank midfielders sitting on the bench doing sweet FA at a cost of over 7 million pound a year.

He probably isn't as bad as some people are making out, but it's yet another Wigan type signing that won't take us anywhere near where we want to be. Our current CM's are not good enough, and we need to replace them with better players, not players of the same or even worse standard.

not sure about this one, on one hand I don't think he's good enough, on the other its a young, £4m player for free who we can flog next year if we choose to, seems too good business sense to turn down. We don't have to play him after all!

I'll bet most of the people turning their noses up Haven't really watched him play, and are going on a couple of anonymous england performances from a few years ago. On villatalk they are all raving about him, despite their predicament

this is the real indicator, villa fans have watched him every week andif they want to keep him we should have him...if they don't want him they can have him!
