I said kone and alcaraz were awful at the time...

Cleverley/barkley/mccarthy/besic for 2 centre midfield positions looks good to me.

Who are the players you would have in before them starting games?

I must be in the minority here then. I hope Cleverley signs for us, Martinez clearly wants him and after his first brilliant season....I'm perfectly willing to give Martinez a chance on another freebee signing. Cleverley is a cracking player who was put in a side possibly too big for him. We could be the perfect fit....be honest, everyone could see an improvement when he went to villa and that was only because sherwood told him to express himself. No brainer for me ....I just hope he chooses us over others.

I just hope he's given a fair crack of the whip by the crowd .confidence means so much in any sport and if we get behind him he might come good.he must have ability and he's worth a gamble I feel

Everyone will support him.

No Everton fan will want him to fail. As soon as they put our shirt on we want nothing but success for them.

It's well documented that I didn't want a certain Irish midfielder to join us, but as soon as he did he had my full support and turned out to be boss. Did I care that I was wrong? Not a bit. It meant we had a good player.
