Oh I'll give him a fair crack. He gets 24 minutes of his debut. If we're not winning by then i'm booing my TV for every minute of every game until he's gone. And when I'm home next year I'm gonna go on a Goodison tour and boo his shirt in the changies

My own opinion is that he's so average at everything he does, that we could just get one of the youth team midfielders to do the same job as him for a fraction of his wages. I am however, more than happy to be proven wrong
 
He's now good because we are signing him. If he went elsewhere as long as it was relevant ppl wouldn't give a rats ass that we missed out on him, typical fickle football fans. I was pissed off when he got in hodgson's early England squad an thought that's simply because he plays for UTD now he doesn't he isn't anywhere near. That's because he's bang average and is indicative of where Martinez is taking us. Sunderland if the North-West.

You must weep if you're a young defensive mid at Everton having to watch first Phil Neville then Gareth Barry get picked ahead of you every game even when they're too old for the league.
 
Awful signing, as bad as Kone and Alcaraz were but this time he is (as has already been said) also getting in the way of youth / reserve team midfielders who are at least as good as him. Martinez really needs to take a look at himself if he thinks the best way to kick off Year Three is to sign another comfort blanket from Wigan, except on more money and for longer.
