Tom Cleverley

I found it hilarious when people were proclaiming Cleverley as an excellent signing at the start of the season when he'd had a couple of decent games on the bounce - not like football fans to jump the gun.

He's so painstakingly average, a neat and tidy player who offers nothing in special defence nor attack - he's exactly the type of player a bottom half Premier League club should be in for. Oh wait...

You could honestly say that same for McCarthy, he offers nothing going forward. He defends decently and you could argue that a team needs a player like him that'll sit back and defend, but honestly, what does McCarthy offer, that Besic doesn't?

Looking back at all the other Everton players in his position over the years and Tom is below average. Yes he has played a few decent games this terms, but I feel he's a player who is a sub at best needs to do more. Trouble is who would we bring in instead?

Leave him alone, hes a good squad player, its not his fault Martinez picks him ahead of actual footballers.

There's a place for Tom Cleverley in every squad mate, holding the captain's hand as they all march out pre-match and taking pea-roller shots at the goalkeeper before being led off by that shouty announcer with the mic.

Martinez makes many a mystifying decision, but his desperation to get Snivelley onto the pitch every game is calamitous.

Called it before he even signed, he loves him, he will play him whereever and whenever, despite us having World Class players ready.

The fact that he played him instead of Besic is sackable, even ignoring the 18months of crap.

Just clicked on pages 78 - 85 in this thread,

Don't even think the multi quote option could do enough justice to the mega vaulting fun.

Besic laughs at Clenevilley, like all those good players used to do at Moyes' Man-Grass Neville. Amazing parallels

Is going to be a player and will get 7 or 8 goals and a good 10 assists this season. Good first touch and aware of space. Also having legs for the full 90 minutes is going to dovetail with McCarthy just beautifully. Fine bit of business on a free will grow into his first team role to the point where we'll think hes been there forever. Happier with him than the Deulofeou deal and that deals on the cards for being a good one.

Pleasing.

Have mercy, O Lord.
