Played well today.
Yep.
Neat and tidy, always available, pressed with fresh legs and wasn't far off scoring.

Absolutely hopeless again and, not for the first time, only really appears when the team are playing well.
Another true Snivelley performance, thank goodness he didn't drop us into a draw or worse by his general hiding ineptitude

I'd've laughed if he'd scored today
I'd have jumped up and down and then worried a bit about Orly's cat which would probably not have survived the moment.

-which still doesn't get him out of the relegation zone. No. Way. Near.

I grant you he's nowt special, but he does a job in a team in a sport which is a team game, so I'm happy enough to see him in an Everton shirt.
He'll likely be replaced in the next year or two with either a signing or someone coming through from the academy, but he's good enough for where we are at the moment.
He's not, it's just that he's all we have until future transfer windows!
Yes he is.
We're a top eight side, top six at best. Look around at teams who aren't realistically in the hunt for top four and you'll find plenty of squads with players like Cleverley in them ... decent, but not outstanding.
I'd love us to have a Champions League quality squad which Cleverley didn't fit into, but we havn't. We all want the best, NSNO and all that, but the reality is that not all our players are going to be game changers or MOTM week in, week out.
