I'm only "happy" to see him playing here in the context of where we are as a club mate. I just see no point in getting the knives out for someone who does a half way decent job. Doing that achieves nothing and could end up turning the crowd against him.

He must excel in training, and he is obviously very fit and has attributes which Ronald likes.

I think we should just back him, as I am sure you do.

Ferguson loved him at UTD; seems to me Koeman likes him and does a job which say, Geri isnt capable of.

I personally thought his energy carried us through to the second goal today.

ha ha ha ,so lukaku's pass was brilliant but the threee players Cleverley took out with his run had no bearing. The problem with people with agendas are that you back yourself into a corner when the player does ok/well. We all agree the player is limited but at least have the class to except when he does something good.

I clapped young Toms effort on goal today, can you explain this for me? Im very confused.

I would be trying to move him on in the next 2 windows but was were he should be given Besic and McCarthy were injured. A late substitute to help see out the game.

With respect he's far ahead of Gibson Besic and MCarthy who are injured 90% of the time.
 
I'd rather have Besic or McCarthy but it's all about opinions. Cleverley is a distinctly average player but for the time being he would be in the squad. However if we are ever to improve we need better.

This mein frandel is very easy to explain away.

As an well-meaning and diligent Evertonian deeply aware of the significance of today - the anniversary of the passing of our greatest ever manager, who let's be honest would have not even picked Snivelley in the Third Era debacle - you would have been acutely aware of the 'clap every 75 seconds"-athon that today was intended to become.

Earnestly involved in applause, you inadvertently clapped at the moment Snivelley slipped on the pitch and accidentally did something that could pass for footballing performance.
