Harper and Ebrell got it in spades mate.

The stick Campbell got in his last season was shameful, after all he`d done for the club and especially after it emerged that he`d been playing with an injury too.

I remember Ebrell getting absolutely mullered, he only came to promise when Royle took over and the crowd started to back of.

I still think he’ll start tomorrow. Though, thankfully Gana covers him so we don’t see just how bad he is. Davies and Schneiderlin together is just a disaster.

Davies is ok, he has his limitations but he’s young and will make mistakes. Being a local lad, a blue and having the armband chucked at him it means the expectations are always going to be sky high. I don’t think he’s terrible, I think he’s still learning and probably playing too much football at this level too quickly if that makes sense. He isn’t helped by the players around him either because they make his job tougher. He’s expected to press, win the ball back, carry it up the pitch, retain possession and create chances, if you put him in that Spurs midfield with legs and flair around him to do most of that for him he’d be in the England squad.

If Gomes ever recovers and can rediscover the form that got him the Barca move then it’ll take the pressure off Davies and he can continue to develop at his pace and hopefully become a great player for us.

Not that I know of, but I've blamed the fans for being generally insufferable angsty man-child bell ends if that counts.

Haha, unsure if they are one and the same.

After all it was the fans that made Barkley leave, and Lukaku, and Stones. Suppose it's only a matter of time before all the booing that Davies gets carries him forward to his new club as well.

I'm not sure that's altogether true but I know where you're coming from. What makes Gana a better player is actually playing in his best position, which is what happens when he plays alongside Davies.

Yeah, he plays better with Davies on the pitch that's for sure. Davies allows Gana to just do what he's good at, while Davies can provide a link between midfield and attack, leaving Gana to mop up when we get hit on the counter.

Hopefully in Gomes we have an upgraded version of Tom Davies, allowing Davies to drop to the bench without the pressure of playing week in week out.

Spot on.
