It`s always been that way mate, it`s just more " visible " now with social media and the likes.

Here`s a brief list of players from my time that have got dogs abuse :

In no particular order :

Mark Ward
John Spencer
Mo Johnson
Mikel Madar
Earl Barrett
Tony Thomas
Marc Hottinger
Mitch Ward
James Beattie
Stuart Barlow
Niklas Alexanderson
John Ebrell
Alan Harper
Kevin Campbell ( last season, when he played with an injury all season )

I`m sure there`s many more, but you get the gist..........

I don't recall the bottom 3 getting stick i might be wrong,but the rest of them yep but they were crap

Must be an age thing I do remember Riedy and Ratcliffe getting some terrible stick,shameful some fans.

Didn't help he was keeping a young Rooney out of the team. At the end of the day, if a footballer plays poorly for a prolonged period of time people aren't going to applaud them.
 
Imagine blaming the fans. It’s hilarious. Real Madrid fans consistently heckled Ronaldo, and their team in general. That’s the reason they’re so unsuccessful.
 
I think the fans need to stop being so moody and negative at the game and try and be a little more realistic this season.

But I also completely disagree that the fans have been the reason any player hasn't made the grade. It's a nonsense argument. There's a huge gulf in quality between what we have coming through and what we need right now. No amount of clapping and singing from the stands is going to turn these lads into world beaters.

Of course, the reality has to that he is not very good (certainly at present). I really hope he does come good, but it is a real indictment of his performances that a Championship loanee and a player with 4 mins prem experience this season are getting in ahead of him....

He is temporarily captaining a terrible mid-table team, let’s have this right.
 
He’s playing for his boyhood club and there’s currently an England manager who will pick him if he plays well enough. You’d think he’d be playing out of his skin.
