He’s young, hes a blue, he’s local so give him time, he will be as good as Zidane in a year or two ! Mfa shocking player end of !

I feel some real bile in your comments about him, some proper hate fueled bile.

So, with that in mind, tell us on the doll where Mr Davies touched you.

Seriously though, what exactly have you got against him to come out with this stuff.

He is a young lad learning the game, whether he shouild be learning it by playing so much football at this level is the debate but it is not a reason to hate on him and be all childish about it.

Personally, I like the lad. There is potential there but at his age there are going to be massive flaws. Young players with no flaws and/or the ability to show it consistently at the highest level are an extreme rarity.

You don't think he will become a good player and I accept your opinion, I disagree but I cannot predict the future but believe there is a very good chance that he will progress. A loan, in January, could be good for him, if we can get Gomes on the pitch and he does well but to be honest I would prefer Davies as back up rather than Schneiderlin.

Big defender of Davies but he was poor for their goal last night.

People can rightly pin some blame on Schneiderlin but Davis is just as culpable, if not more so.

He was with Ings and then completely switched off, despite only ever being about three yards away from him.

Yeh, punt MS before anyone else.

Get either a big, dominating powerhouse type midfielder (Alfa Semedo came on and ran the show for Benfica in the second half last night after they'd thrown away a two goal lead) or a deep-lying playmaker type in Jan. Davies is always useful as back up.

Tried hard, just not going to be a top top player. He is a Everton type player, average premier league. Don't agree with crowd getting on his back, no one wants to make mistakes, he was over trying last night

Not the first goal we lost this season because of his "contribution" in the defence and probably not the last. He does that all the time, he is just wandering around the position on the pitch he should be covering and stares at the ball, never pressing the opponent, never helping the teammate to win the ball while at the same time he leaves uncovered players around him. The ball (and players) just goes through his sector on the pitch like he wasn't even there.

He didn't have a brilliant game but that bit is just incorrect. His work rate and pressing is one of the better sides of his game.

He also needs to stop hesitating when looking for a pass, he sees the right ball and then waits to long and inevitably turns and passes it sideways.

His major plus point for me is that he doesn't shy away from the ball though, like Barkley before him, he is happy to receive it. It's what he does after he gets it that can be suspect.

Him and Schnerderlin need firing out of a cannon.

Absolute average the pair of them. Praying Gomes can stay fit and partner Gana but I cant see it he seems another Besic/McCarthy

??

I dunno, every time I focus on him while I watch the game he is just trotting around his sector. He NEVER jumps to the teammate who is currently challenging the opposition player with the ball. NEVER. And I would understand that if he would be covering someone at the same time, or positioning himself in such a manner to cut off the possible pass. He does neither that or that, like he wasn't on the pitch. That goal was the perfect example, he could do a couple of things and decided to stay behind and stare. And it's like second or third goal of such kind we lost beacuse of him this season. He never helps JJK and that is one of the major factors there is so much threat coming from his side of the pitch. There are moments with very high pressing in our game where everyone seems to just run like Niasse to the opponent with the ball, everyone besides him. If I would have time and access to the full games I would gladly create a compilation of his "work without the ball". His excellent stat of 1-2 successful tackles per game has a solid foundation.

Had a poor game last night.

First half saw a nice flicked through ball to Lookman in what seemed our first meaningful attack down the right flank.

Went downhill from there really.

He's a better partner for Gana than Schneids mind.
