We’ve won 2 home games and only won one away game.

We’ve picked up 7 points at home, vs. 5 away from home.

‘Noticeably worse’ :coffee:
Southampton is the only home game we played well throughout. 1st half of Fulham was a joke. Siggy pulled a goal out of his arse and we took hold from there. Awful every other home game. Every game away we could have won.

Yeah, I’ve played in football teams when I was younger and I have to regularly give presentations/briefings in work. Like with anything in life, if you do it enough times, you get used to it.

If they’re that precious, they should give up the millions, as football clearly isn’t for them.
Completely different. You can’t even compare.

I’ve done tonnes of presentations before, some in uni and some to the directors at my work. It’s easy if you research enough.

Football matches are very unpredictable. Ah sod it I can’t be bothered discussing this.

Of course it’s different, I was just replying to the person who’d asked if I’d done/do any of that stuff.

Let’s take the Uni example. I remember having to do a few group presentations and being a complete bag of nerves, but what I’d notice is that there would always be one or two people who took lead and it didn’t affect them. They tend to be the ones who got the group through it and relax everyone when it came time to get up and do the presentations.

Seeing as Tom Davies is now regularly captaining Everton, and even when Coleman returns he must be close to the armband, you’d assume that Tom Davies is one of them people who doesn’t let a crowd affect him. If he does, then why is he captain?

From the beginning of football, fans have always said ‘ X player is rubbish’, it’s part and parcel of the game. Davies doesn’t escape that. He’s played over 60 games now. There are younger players playing in foreign leagues, like Sancho, getting called up to their national team squads.

If Davies can’t handle the groans when he continually plays badly, then he should find himself somewhere that accepts them performances.

Interesting that there was never this defence for Anichibe. He’s a local lad, came through the academy, young and a supporter of the club, but nobody ever seemed to rush to his defence.

Ah good. We’re comparing playing for Everton in front of thousands of raucous fans, to doing a PowerPoint presentation on pavlov’s slavering dog in front of 10 half asleep students

I think a lot of us recognise Davies is a much more talented footballer than Anichebe mate. Plus until his last season under Moyes, Vic often came across as not putting full effort in which obviously never endears you to the Goodison crowd.

I felt like that last season, for most of the season, nothing to do with the results or the style of football, simply the fans had made my matchday experience very unjoyable.

Dont get me wrong, on the main the regulars who are there every week are very good people, but now and again theres a few new mutants who cant seem to enjoy the game without racially abusing our own players and simply abusing every player in blue.

I bite my tongue mostly, but now and again I have a word, I would do it every week, but I kinda like my seat and dont want to get banned for throwing somebody on to the pitch.

There's a few of them in the Upper Gwladys Street, they are also the ones who arrive five minutes after kick off then disappear again five minutes before half time, rinse and repeat for the second half! Not entirely sure why they even bother!
