Indeed, funny that. Worked under four managers in his short PL career, for most games he was a teenager, all four had differing styles , yet he was able to adapt . Doing what the manager asks you to do is pretty fundamental, but not always achieved by youngsters thrust into the PL.
I’m loving the fact that we’ve now got some decent midfielders so Davies won’t be starting as many games. This season he’s going to be the ideal bench player able to cover a number of positions, and if an injury or whatever requires a change in tactics Silva will send him on and he’ll implement his instructions.

90% pass completion and didn’t lose the ball to an opposing player once. Kept it calm. Cleaned up well.

Giving a proper shape to the team and everyone knows exactly what their roles are. It worked pretty well in these two league matches.

Have you seen how weak our midfield is?
He was fine today, but he genuinely isn’t good enough for what we are claiming we want to be.

Some bloos don’t like the forward pass thing. They pine for the crab axis of Fellaini Rodwell, Barry McCarthy, Gueye Schneiderlin.

TD has some crab like qualities but he’s the only currently fit CM that we have that picks the ball up from the back two and instead of looking for the full backs and spinning, looks for a forward ball to a winger before offering himself again through the middle.

A confident TD is well worth having in our squad. There’s just something there when he’s feeling it.

When he’s not, we get what we saw last season. I reckon Marco can bring the confident swagger back to his game.

Not saying he's rubbish or anything, but I don't know what exactly he's meant to contribute.

He's energetic and okay at passing, other areas of his game are not so great.

Can't say much more than that really - suspect he'll get fewer starts this season than he did last season.

Just as well he's only just turned 20 then so he has lots of time to improve

You could see as well that he offered something going forwards! Didn’t play every pass back or sideways.

He had pass from Coleman I believe 2nd half and split the defenders with a ball down the line to Walcott I think? Either way opened the attack up. Never got that from Scheinderlein
