I think Davies has a lot of potential ability actually but unlike Osman I don't think he really knows or understands his game at all. Osman knew his strengths and weaknesses and played to them. Davies doesn't. After 100+ league games, you would have expected better. I hope he takes the time away to really kick on, as goodness knows we need it.

....yep, it’s all about being effective and he tends to get swamped whereas Osman tended to play the ball at a quicker pace. Tempo.

This is kinda true but you don't know how good they'll be until they play games. Osman was always touch and go if he'd make it (pretty sure he had one leg shorter than the other, and needed special boots).

Vic and Vaughan needed loans desperately to play more as I think their development was halted. But like you say it was down to the squad size.

Davies has played a 100 games. Had enough chances imo.
 


I like Tom but he needs a loan to Germany or somewhere where he can play week in and week out to see if he can ever become of the required level currently her is too inconsistant . If we can get two cms in this summer let him go out.

Yes let’s just keep waiting and hoping he kicks on. What if he has 3 or 4 good games. So we give him 30games next season. The club unfortunately have to start making quicker decisions on these players.

Get them on loan earlier, if they do well get them in and around the first team for a season or two, let’s stop holding on to them until their mid twenties, Pennington is 25 ffs. Garbutt 27. This is all down to unsworth for me and putting winning, at all costs, before what each player really needs.
Sorry slightly gone of track there.
