Thought he done alright tonight, there is still time for this lad to be a player ,yes does make you nervous at the end of games but maybe with more experience he will sort that part of his game.

Whole midfield was abysmal.

Him, Gomes and Iwobi were so disinterested and off the pace it was ridiculous. I felt for Gordon, he at least tried, but was poor too I felt.

This lad, is a Championship player at best. He’s a lovely lad, having met him a few times, but Christ, he’s so below average it’s untrue.

I thought he worked hard but he lacks some basics its untrue and squandered possession and was bypassed often. But the way we set up was about containing.

Even the almost peerless horrific signing that is Alex Iwobi has

Apps 119

12 goals

16 assists

Terrifying that they both play for us on biiiiig long contracts

Under Silva I could see the thought behind Alex (it'd punt Gylfi further into space)

He's not gonna look like a smart 34m signing if Carlo thinks he's gonna get played on the right wing.

Sir Tom of Davies crapped over the rest of the midfield

(I want to confirm I don't think he's the answer btw, I don't think he's kicked on at all like we all hoped he would but he was miles above seasoned professionals today)

I'd say that was one of his better games for the club, which is damning to say the least.

He's not good enough to play for a top half PL club even as a squad player that starts games occasionally, for me.

If he was to stay at the club beyond this season, it'd have to be as an absolute emergency squad option.

Yeah to be honest mate we ain't signing 4 midfielders this window, so I see no reason why he will be moving on.

Probably not, but if we brought in two and kept Gbamin and Gomes and had Davies as 5th choice (assuming Schneiderlin and Sig go), I could live with that.

I'm not sure that's likely either, to be honest, but surely central midfield needs to be a priority in the summer.
