Really gutted his chance didn’t creep in, could have done wonders for him to have been the match winner in a derby.

All in it was another frustrating day from him, all the endeavour is there but a few times yet again he loses the ball in terrible areas. I give him credit however for doing all the leg work for Gomes (who I still don’t think is ready for full 90s) despite not being the most mobile player himself.

He was decent today. Would love to see him start with Andre for rest of season to see if they can build a partnership and see if he can be someone we rely on next season.

Did the running for 2 men as Gomes looked a long way from being match fit

....got my MoM for his tireless effort. Should’ve buried his chance regardless of Gomez getting a touch but I was most encouraged he was in the 6 yard box to get on the end of it.

He continues to make me nervous when he tires as he is prone to give the ball away in key positions. Late on, he played a blind pass backwards to Mane that immediately put us under pressure, but it was good seeing him make such a positive contribution.

The break might have actually done him a favour as he looked much sharper.

Not brilliant our centre mids are they.

Probably above average and no more, so when they have a half decent game, we think they’ve done really well. If Carlo is going to persist with a 442 next season you have to think he has 2 new dynamic midfielders in mind. In a 433 you could utilise Gomes but he still need 2 more athletic types around him

Negatives. Average game for me. Didn't do.much, lost the ball in dangerous positions a couple of times. Always struggled to get his passes away.
Positives. Got into the box to nearly score the winner. Did all the running for a below average Gomes.
Id give him another season but at the moment as a midfielder he is very underwhelming

Spot on this mate, if he cuts out the mistakes (Hopefully he can under Carlos guidance) then he'll be a solid player for us

Played a wonderful ball right near the end that seems to have been forgotten by a lot of people in here, it was a lovely cushioned lay off that put the LW in, I'm not quite sure how Origi didn't manage to make more of it tbh.
