We bin youth players off who aren’t good enough. I said to loan him out to see if he can improve. He isn’t good enough for us and shouldn’t be trying to improve his game on our time. We have to start making strides forward as a club and break out of this never ending mediocrity.
The obsession with selling every player who is deemed not good enough before we have a replacement is bizarre. If you listed all the players that are considered not good enough it'd leave us with about 12 senior players. When we buy better midfielders, we can sell Davies. I'd advise doing that first though.

This isn't FIFA Ultimate Team. You need a squad.
Osman wasn’t good enough but was better than Davies. I think time has pulled the wool of some people’s eyes in regards to Osman’s talent.Osman was never Phil Foden levels but yet was an above average premier league midfielder who performed when needed. You need a squad. Unless you're City, you're never gonna half world class talent sitting on the bench.
The outlay to replace Davies with someone "better" wouldnt be financially beneficial as we need other areas to invest in. We have a thin squad.
Out of a cull, he stays and plays.
I remember people saying Barkley was never good enough. We've spent millions and never replaced him. At this moment, he'd walk into our side still.
Good enough for what mate? Good enough for the champions league, no but Europa league level? Probably. Which is coincidently where we found ourselves at that time.Osman wasn’t good enough but was better than Davies. I think time has pulled the wool of some people’s eyes in regards to Osman’s talent.
We stagnated at that level due to lack of investment which meant we had to keep players like Osman around. I still shudder at Neville and Osman in that midfield.Good enough for what mate? Davies is a different player with different strengths and weaknesses, I hope he comes good, if anyone can bring it out of him it's Carlo.
I agree, We were probably a good midfielder and a proven goalscorer away from really doing somethingWe stagnated at that level due to lack of investment which meant we had to keep players like Osman around. I still shudder at Neville and Osman in that midfield.
We were very close to an excellent team around 2007-2009. Unfortunately Kenwright wouldn’t let go and actively seek to sell the club.I agree, We were probably a good midfielder and a proven goalscorer away from really doing something

Osman was an absolute tank on the field. Was never afraid to get up and down the pitch which I think alot of Evertonians forgave him natural ability with the heart. Tommy will come good as long as he puts some muscle on and has that terrier like approach osman possessedOsman wasn’t good enough but was better than Davies.
