It's an unfair comparison...

Two entirely different players playing for two entirely different teams...
You’re right, Davies has a lot more experience in the Premier League, it isn’t fair...

They’ve both played in the same England youth team.

Now at the stage im nervous every time he gets the ball as he gives it away to much. Esp when he's blowing out his backside towards ends of games.
Rough diamond. But more rough right now.

Yeah I’d agree with the positions but central midfield is way out in front as the key area to improve for me. Having a great right winger wouldn’t actually improve us much at the moment because we’d never get them the ball. The only game all season that I can remember us properly dictating and just being in control of In midfield is West Ham at home, which, to be fair to him, Davies played his part in. We have to improve massively on that if we’re going to get better.
Central midfield has to be the top priority as you say, it’s vital, absolutely vital.

Davies is a squad player at best at the moment. He will improve the more he works on his control and not getting caught in possession by passing quicker. Ancelotti was praising him yesterday and that'll give the lad a boost. Still think we need a really decent central midfielder though.

Phil Foden runs rings around players 10 years older than him too, he’d walk into about 12 Premier League sides and be the best player. Are we just getting rid of any youth player who’s not as good as Phil Foden now?

They’re two players who have game through the academies of their respective clubs. It is a relevant comparison to make. Davies is older and hasn’t progressed one bit since his debut for the club. He isn’t a squad player, either, sadly we have Davies starring games on a regular basis.

Foden has made 4 Premier League starts and would run rings around Davies, despite the latter having a shed load more experience.

Also, who’s to say Richarlison won’t be as good as Neymar has been?

We just binning off youth players because they're not better or as good than arguably one of the best young talents in world football?

Wow

Squad player.....no more. And when he does get a game.....we are weaker.
But we are weaker no matter who plays in midfield.
But I'm going round in circles. (Much like our midfield).
All our midfield is weak. Gomes included. Davies I suppose is no worse than any of them. That says everything. And Delph could be back tonight. God help us.

Doesn't really matter who props up our midfield. We will win this match tonight inspite of them.
Our defence plays tight like the other day .
And DCL and Richarlson find their shooting boots.
And maybe our midfield might decide to contribute something.
Davies to score our fourth (I can but dream) . Up The Toffees.

I’d say we need to set our bar higher to actually improve and that bar is higher than what Tom Davies is capable of. Keeping players like Davies around will just mean that we continue to tread water.

That chance in the match on Sunday, will be the perfect epitaph for his Everton career.

'Nearly, should have, could have, but didn't.'

Wow
We bin youth players off who aren’t good enough. I said to loan him out to see if he can improve. He isn’t good enough for us and shouldn’t be trying to improve his game on our time. We have to start making strides forward as a club and break out of this never ending mediocrity.
