Digne has created more goal scoring chances than anyone else this season out of the whole team and has the most assists.

Richarlison has 11 goals, 3 assists and has created the 3rd most goal scoring chances for us.

Davies has 1 goal and dresses like his nan. He’s boss him.

I was referring to the piece you put up about Anthony Gordon creating more chances than anybody since the restart.
I was making the point that it related to all our more creative players and not just Tom Davies.

I only used it as a comparison to Davies as we’re told he’s supposedly improving, when statistically he’s really not. The young lad Gordon in the space of 6 games has created far more chances and got himself more assists than Davies has over nearly 30 games and he already looks a better player.

Davies is nothing special, he doesn’t stand out at all. There’s loads of bang average players like him in the Championship. He’s only getting game time because we literally don’t have anyone else to step in and the rest are dead wood. When we have a full team and if/when Ancelotti gets his own players, he’ll be sent packing.

After 100 appearances for Everton, it's patently obvious that..................he will make a really average midfield player, with Bournemouth in next seasons Championship.

I think the information that you included earlier shows how the whole team are not creating chances, not just Tom Davies alone. I think he has generally done well apart from one game... Norwich I think , where he along with nearly everybody else was average.
Since we came back, I think Richarlison has been out of form a bit, DCL a little bit as well, in fact I think we have become defensively solid but poor creatively , ... I do agree that Gordon is a prospect and delighted to see him do so well.

Of course Ancelotti’s opinion is all that matters, as it is, the current squad, I wouldn’t read anything into Davies being selected. The managers hands are tied at the moment. He either plays what he has available or ventures for the inexperienced from the U23s.

Maybe it’s all about different expectations of what we want from our midfielders but this lad has played most games this season now and the figures this season and his in particular are pointing to him being a big part of the problems we are having. It’s all good having someone who gets himself about and tries but ultimately it’s also about what he does with the ball and he doesn’t and isn’t doing very much and the stats back that up.

Also my own eyes back up that he’s a bit poo, if that counts!

I’m not sure he would even cut it in the championship, he would be coming up against some yard dogs who would out tackle and out muscle him, and then there’s the others who will just be better than him.

A lot of tripe talked about Davies, truth is he is still improving whilst others round him are floundering too...

He was no better or worse than any other player last night...

That’s not a sign of a good player then is it? Playing just as crap as a bunch of crap players doesn’t make a good performance, to be considered a good player you must have more good games than bad ones on a consistent basis.

I've always thought he will come good, the crowd get on his back a bit might be a confidence issue ,well that's what I thought. Now there's no crowd there, hes still playing bang average.false hope again!

Imagine him up against Parkinson or Horne. He'd be eaten...

He puts in the effort and as a home grown player and someone with a lot of appearances in the league we could find a buyer quite easily.

My guess is £10-15mil which goes towards an upgrade.

At best he’ll be loaned for a season and then sold for about 8mil. It’s too bad Sunderland are such a mess. He’d have been a perfect candidate to join their brigade of Everton rejects.

Thought Tom had a great game against Spurs. Pace, power, great passing and a constant goal threat. Spurs midfield couldn't handle him. Think how good he would be with better midfielders around him

I don't think he will make it at the level that we are aiming for.

Sell now , anything above £5 million would be great or use as a makeweight in a deal for someone like Cantwell.
