It has dropped to a very average level. People say the forwards get no service but their movement/ability with the ball at their feet leaves a lot to be desired.
I´ll use United as an example because it looks like their forward play has turned a corner. The likes of Rashford, Martial and Greenwood just make things happen. Your job as a midfielder is so much easier when you´ve got players like that to hit. What happens if you pop it into DCL? He´ll likely control it and send it back to you. That´s harsh on him because he´s made big improvements this year but it´s the reality of our situation.
People think buying a couple of new midfielders will help but I think it´d quickly highlight the failings of our forward plays and the lack of understanding they have with each other. I´m not convinced they´ve truly worked on any attacking set up for years at Finch Farm. If they have, then it really doesn´t show.
