There were times today when I saw him grabbing the ball shirking the defender off and driving forwards a little and I thought wow where’s this been. Then I realised it was Branthwaite. Our 18 year old 6ft4 centre half was doing stuff he should be able to do

I always argued for giving him more time, he's a late developer, he'll come good like DCL and Holgate. But he's been given all the opportunities that those 2 have had and hasn't done it. He also ahsn't got the excuse I was giving of 'bad tactics' now, because all he had to do was get the ball and pass / drive forward

No! He doesn't need to go on LOAN, he needs to go! He's proven he'll never make it at this level. If he was a foreigner nobody would be championing sending him on loan to give him another chance. He's had it, but not good enough, get lost.

I have no doubt that unlike others the lad tries and cares .....but he just hasn't got it.

Even more concerning is that he isn't learning or improving.

Genuinely sorry because I like to see us play young , local lads but he has to go.

He is not particularly good at one thing .......but he's pretty bad at a few.

Gbamin (injury prone), Delph (injury prone), Gomes (coming back of a bid injury, lacking of fitness), Sigurdsson (too slow to play cm). Situation does not help.

We need 2 cm hopefully Allan and another.

That's what I'm insinuating - we need new signings in his position as a matter of priority.
