A move will be good for him.

He clearly has talent, its just totally deserted him. He wont be the first young lad to need a boot up the backside, no matter what job they are in.
Nah. He peaked the day he swam into his ma's egg. Done nothing since.

I wonder if this is just a load of bull.. everyone knows we are crying out for midfielders, and despite how cr ap ours was / is this season, it would make no sense to sell... not until we have someone lined up. We have no concrete evidence that we have anyone lined up...

It makes every bit of sense to sell any of our midfielders.

Some of the same people saying Davies is the worst player they've ever seen and would sell him for £2m etc, that £12m is too much, are probably some of the same people who thought we should've sold Holgate to West Brom last summer for £4m. All it takes is a couple of games and our players go from "Championship standard" to "One of the best in the league".

In this current market, £12m is cheap for a promising young player with time on his contract. I'd be far more interested in trying to get rid of the players who have no Interest in playing for us and are literally stealing a fortune in wages.

That said, I do think he would better off taking a move.

Im afraid promising for the first dozen games at Everton.
For to long now he's just looked sluggish clumsy and nowhere near any level you would hope to be aiming for. You're right he's not the only one. The whole of our midfield were atrocious last year. The clear out has to start somewhere.
