I wouldn’t sell Davies me. Home grown, English and still only young with little wages in comparison to the other players.

In terms of squad rotation he’s good enough to come off the bench in games we’re we need fresh legs in the midfield, and the most likely not to kick off with less playing time.

On the other hand selling the likes of Delph, Siggurdson and Besic will financially make more sense.
Did you not see Davies play last season?

I’m serious. A traffic cone could’ve been in our midfield last year but I do think if he was here he’d have been in straight away. Also if he wasn’t made out of cheese he’d be an established player here years ago or at the very least we’d have made a very good profit off of him.
We will be lucky to sell Besic to a championship side.

Carlo likes him. He's staying.

As much as I think he's depressingly average, Walcott is the one from that list who should stay. Only actual RW we've got and still has pace. Arguably Bernard would thrive with better players around him but I'd be more than happy to let him go given the wages he's on and the fact it'll be total profit.

Did he run out of space for iwobi? Please just say thats the case.
We have seen clearly now where the manager feels the problems lay... hopefully that has been addressed.

I think the manager may feel that a number of players were not able to be at their best because of the problems in central midfield.
I believe that he is prepared to give some of these a chance to show they are capable of better, I think Iwobi may be one of those, Bernard another and I believe Davies, Pickford as well.

That said, I think that we will have to look carefully at any bid that is made for most of our players as we do need to get wages off the books.

If Davies doesn't go this window it probably is last chance saloon. Sometimes playing and training with better quality players makes others up their game. Possibly Carlo thinks he's got the attitude and potential to do so. It can't be brilliant training with Schneiderlin, Siggy et al.

Here's your chance otherwise it is bin time
When Davies plays this season, it will be in a more advanced role and the manager will make his assessment of him then.
Last season he was playing in a position that was not his favoured spot. I think that this year is the one where he has to convince the manager of his worth.
