There was a moment in the game yesterday where he lost the ball from a pass and instead of just sticking to his position in the middle he ran frantically towards the player in attempt to retrieve the ball, already surround by two Everton players a simple pass in between them all resulted in almost a goal.

I like Tom I just think at times he has a moment of madness that he needs to take out of his game, a lot to learn still despite the amount of appearances.

Tom got unfairly pulled up by the ref for a good tackle, early on, but it didnt put him off getting stuck in, admire that.

Though it would have been madness on his part if he'd stuck another one in and gotten sent off for it.

In all seriousness, being able to manage an early card is a critical skill, especially in a midfielder or central defender where you can be forced to make a cynical foul due to someone else's blunder.

Everton win - Tom Davies is worth keeping as a squad player/developing for the future.

The truth is that, win or lose, he's not good enough.

DCL scored yesterday so it's Tom's turn to get stick from the haters.

Win, lose or draw he is one of the most improved players and has benefited from having better players around him, that's the truth.

DCL - when the chips were down, he stopped scoring.......as we all knew he would. Not good enough and never will be!

Not a very good judge though are we mate.

Feels like shots fired by Carlo at today's presser. Tom needs to improve his overall game if he is to have a future at Everton.

Weird that he hasn't shown enough going forward after that city game. He skinned yaya toure so he must have some ability.

I don't think he meant this as a criticism of Tom Davies, instead I think he is setting the bar for him if he wants to become a top player.

Ancelotti talks about Davies a lot and when you look at the season overall he has played him in a lot of games for a young player.
I think many of us believe that if he played him instead of Gomes in some games we might be in an even better position.
