Fresh. Anything I touch right now is fresh. Everything in my life right now, bless. Work so hard, no time to rest. I ain't gonna stop till I am the best.

Tom Davies.

The shot on goal was very much on for Tom Davies but, even though looking across he could see Mina was offside, he decided to make the pass instead. I feel a lack of confidence played a big part, had it been Demarai Gray in that position I think we'd have all three points. In the 2nd pic, Doucouré looks like he can't believe Davies has gone with the pass.

Oh yes!

Well we will disagree.

Our bench options are impossibly stretched. The other midfield options were permanently injured Delph, also injured Gomes or the invisible man Gbamin.

Until we get some other cover, we need him and he will continue to get minutes.

I agree, but that ‘until’ should be the earliest opportunity we have to get rid, so that we can then upgrade with a far better midfielder. This will only happen if we find another club willing to buy him at the right price. I think we would be looking for around 7 - 10 million as he is still only 23.

If that opportunity comes in January he should be sold, if not, it definitely needs to happen next summer, as we need to cash in on him and don’t want him leaving for free in 2023.

Davies and Holgate are the only players that we have that are expendable and also have a slight degree of appeal to the buying club. The rest of our dross is so bad that nobody will touch them, and they will all leave on free transfers.

Its up to him to change the fans opinion.

He's been part of the first team squad long enough now. He's not a prospect anymore and his performances and contributions are nil.

People say he gets stick because he's local lad but if anything he's had a long stay of execution because he's local, the club will want him involved only to show that it can still produce home grown talent.
Don't think the last four managers could care less if he's a local lad.

The pass is correct, but unfortunately Mina was offside, but it was the better option.
He could shoot and it be saved, if Mina is onside its 2 1

I wish he would of shot, but the pass was the more clear head professional thing to do.

How can the pass be the right thing to do if in that moment he should have the appreciation that Mina is ahead of him? If Mina was a clear half body behind I'd agree re the pass.

Mina himself should have done more to stay onside. They both made poor choices, it happens.

The first picture when he looks up Yerry is onside. He's got no reason to expect him to not be a second later.

Said it in the manager thread but I think Rafael is the first manager since Moyes to actively want to improve what he has instead of finding replacements to buy.

I think Tom has suffered with that mindset from previous managers in that I don’t think anyone has really put much effort into improving the (very) raw attributes we saw a number of years ago now.

Southampton seem to see something in him and they have a good track record of developing young players in recent years so I’d hope that our own staff could look at what they can do to develop him instead of short point him out for someone else to give it a go.

Lol. In the first picture you can see he can take it on 5 yards and slot it in fairly comfortably. The pass was a ludicrous option.
I really think people are underestimating the difficulty of that finish. He's wider out than Doucoure against Norwich last week for example and that chance wasn't exactly a tap in.

Unless we get a reasonable fee, there is no point selling. He is no a regular first team selection, but happy to benchwarm. W Ed wouldd D.C. have to find another to do the same.
