He'll be in and out of the team after AFCON and rightly so. Yes he's been one of our best players lately but he's only 18 and expectations need to be managed. Too much exposure too fast could be detrimental in the long run.

I think the only difference is that neither have been given a chance to kick on in the first team. Based on U23 performances this season I'd say Walsh has been more impressive than Davies.
Looks like a prospect. However with Gueye coming back and Schneiderlin and Barry available I'd look to loan him out for the rest of the season. He's still young and inexperienced so could do with the extra game time imo.
Exactly this! He should get more than 15 minute cameos though, as he's proven he is able to influence games. I think he'll be chopping and changing with Schneiderlin in the team, which is amazing when you consider we've just shelled out 20-odd million for our new French midfielder! He'll be in and out of the team after AFCON and rightly so. Yeah? That's interesting.
Walsh can't be far from the first team, or i'd have thought he'd be back out on loan again since Yeovil was so good for him.

Hoping to see Gueye, Davies and Schneiderlin as our 3 for the rest of the season
Didn't seem to bother Alan Ball.......He'll probably be protected a bit. It's hard to keep up his level of performance week in week out when only 18.
But others have been damaged. Case by case I think, he may be fine, but I'm not his manager.Didn't seem to bother Alan Ball.......
