May have already been mentioned. Mates and I say he reminds us most of Peter Reid. When he gets the ball he is always looking for the forward ball. If he gets to reidys level he will go a long way

In terms of technical ability Walsh and Dowell are ahead of Davies although both are behind Davies in terms of physical development. Walsh can dominate a game and has already proven that he can mix it at league 2 level - Dowells form has been up and down but seems to have been coming on strong recently with his form. Expect Dowell to go out on loan this month. Walsh just coming back from an injury so may miss out on a loan this time round.

Read an Unsworth interview where he says Dowell's grown an inch or two since his debut! Watched him for U-23's against Reading and it looks like hes put a bit of muscle on too. Best thing for him would be a loan to the Championship now and see how he gets on, but I do think he's going to make it.

I think Walsh and Williams were both always rated as highly as Davies, but haven't kicked on in the same way yet. Still time for both of them though.

Yep read the same thing regarding dowell. A loan to a good championship team where he can play 10-12 games in a competitive league would do him the world of good. Have heard the German manager at Huddersfield is doing good things with them and he turned down the Wolfsburg job recently to stay at huddersfield and they play a high press that Koeman is trying to bring in here.
Walsh I think has a harder route in that although he has already excelled in league 2 last year he is physically small in stature and koeman prefers physically imposing players.
Both train regularly with the first team and wouldn't be surprised if both get at least a taste of the 1st team this year. Walsh has the mentality and ability already and dowell has all the ability in the world but tends to flit in and out of games.

Look at how magic he is though.

Dowell is currently lacking a bit of dynamism and aggression in his play, Walsh is lacking some stature. Both could very possibly still come good.

I think it's not beyond the realm of possibility that we see one or the other towards the end of the season if we get to the point where we're guaranteed 7th but can't reach 6th.

Walsh will definitely make it here IMO.

What he lacks in height he makes up for in aggression and technical ability. He can already control games, he done it in league 2, he will do it in the championship when he goes on loan.

He has been specifically asked to watch and learn from Barry about certain aspects of his game.

Rated very highly by the staff.

We should be all over sending him (Dowell) to Barnsley.

Looks like Hourihane will be off. They need a replacement.

Imagine a future Everton midfield of Walsh Davies Barkley with Dowell wide left. Would be great if we could get a core of players all coming through together and build success on that like United did. Barkley Holgate Davies Browning Lookman Dowell Walsh Calvert Lewin Galloway etc.

Think both will make it here. Both have premier league quality - Walsh slightly unfortunate in that he is playing in a position where we have the most competition, Dowell arguably the least competition. Although Koeman generally prefers physically bigger players Walsh may just see a chink of light with the signing and play of lookman.

We certainly have a great youth set up mate and It should continue for many years.

I'm a bit unsure if dowell has the physical aspects to play in a koeman side at the moment but I think a loan to a decent championship club could change that.

I hope he can become an option for the role Barkley is currently playing in
