Great piece on him there on FF. Hes an absolute gem of a young lad...such a talent yet totally grounded and unaffected. And the best is yet to come too.

This is another good interview about Davies, particularly his younger days. You have to say when Martinez bought Holgate and spoke of adding him to our " Golden Generation" of youngsters that Tom was very much in the middle of the pack , maybe because at that time he was one of the youngest. I just love watching his movement even when he hasn't got the ball, against ManU he reminded me of the middle dot like you get on a 5 on a dice! He filled the gap between the two DFMs and the Ross/ DCL all the time , it's been great watching him coming through from u18 to 21/23 to PL.

Between this and the vid that Bolasie posted with Lookman months ago it seems like the older players like to give the youngins a bit of a ribbing.

That said, you can tell that Tom isn't as quiet as people maybe think he is... and Mirallas screaming "F***ing chicken lad" at him is absolute gold lol

Easy to forget about it as they scored (twice) so quickly after, but it was a great little finish from him. To be so switched on 15 seconds in to make the run and instantly swap it onto his left was really impressive.

Given the composure of his other goal for us as well, it shows he has something to offer in every area of the pitch.
